I ordered this book directly from Rich @ Spring 2009 as soon as it became available and I was not disappointed. This is a excellent "coffee table" style book consisting entirely of photographs. The photos are of superb quality and comprise a private collection the likes of which even the advanced hobbyist may never see in person in their lifetime ! For the few detractors that balk at the price, I would remind you that no one has attempted or put forth a effort of this magnitude anywhere in any country, that I'm aware of. This book is a hobby first. While this may be a small sized book, the photographs are so close-up and intense, that they could probably be used for scientific purposes. The eyes, nostril and skin pigmentation and granulation is captured remarkably. The only gripe I have is that the photos being labeled male or female would have been a big help for hobbyists and I think Rich mentioned to me way back, that the second book would correct that. Oh,and the pages not being numbered for reference.

All and all, an excellent hobby effort. If you want to show anyone...and by anyone, I mean advanced hobbyists, herpetoculturists and friends and family alike, a collection of rare, beautiful animals guaranteed to impress by their capture on print....then this book WILL deliver.

Rich states the books ordered from him are $30 shipped first class with delivery confirmation, and he will autograph copies upon request.

Thanks for the review Phil.
I'd like to mention that I sell a number of books each month through Amazon. Those books are not signed. If you would like a signed copy you can order the book directly through me and I will sign as requested.
New book should be coming out this year and will include tons on in-situ pics, information and more collection pics too.
Thanks,

Rich
Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.

His autograph alone is worth 100-200 dollars!

$30 bucks?!?!?!?! I am going to buy a bunch of his books and sell them at considerable markup.

I will be......

A Rich Frye frog book flipper. Of course I will QT his book for at least 40 days to make sure the ink is nice and dry.
