Grape wood?
#1
As im setting up my 29g dart tank. I realized I have a beautiful peice of grape wood that has a root like apperance and fits great in the tank.Ive been reading that this type of wood isnt to great in high humidity which im striving for. Will it be ok with the frogs if it gets to grow mold and fungus or should i find another peice of wood?

The mold will not bother the frogs. Grapewood is a soft wood, and will not only mold, but also rot very quickly in the humid environment of the dart frog tank.
Some better choices would be Maylasian driftwood, Mopani, Manzanita or ghostwood, and we offer all of these on our website.

never never never use grapewood---it will turn to black moldy junk in two to three weeks in a wet environment---but it's great for a desert setup.

Ditto Cindy, but with a twist:

Use malaysian driftwood, cypress wood, 'ghost wood' (which encourages moss growth quickly and looks cool when covered in it) or mopani root wood from Africa as a last resort if you can't find these other things.
