Thead Lock out option for the OP?

Since certain members are more concerned with preaching, pot stirring, and simply derailing threads then they are with contributing to threads, is it possible to have a function that would allow the OP to lock out certain members from posting within a thread? or have the ability to delete posts that the OP deems as a derailment from the topic?

Just a thought. I see this happening to different degrees on several forums. It is usually petty grudge stuff that would go away if an OP's thread could be managed by the OP(OP determines if a post is off topic).

That IS an interesting idea - making the thread 100% the 'property' of the OP. Kind of a mini-admin type role, but just over their own threads.

Having just updated this forum - php based, to the most recent version, I can tell you that currently there is no such plug-in to accommodate this idea.

We (I) ,will just have to keep plugging along with trying to mediate, keep the peace and bang my head against the wall, as usual..lol.
