How do you get a frog 'line' named after yourself?

Is it just the importers name? If so how do you become an importer. Just curious how all of that works.

I'm afraid your wrong here. The name attached to a line has little to do with the importer or hobbyist that brought the animals into the country. In every case I can think of and where its a persons name, except possibly one case, the name comes from the person who breed the crap out of the animals and distributed those animals. I was the first to imported lots of animals back in the day and you don't see my name associated with but one. And in very few cases have I ever been asked what passed through my hands. I imported and passed the animals on to people who could and did breed them and their names are associated with the animals. I also breed lots of animals and passed them on but I can only think of one "line" with my name on it and that's one I didn't import.

Best,

Chuck

That's having an import named after you to separate animals that may be of different locales that look similar. You have to breed them to have your name used as the "line" reference.
