cool. The local collaboration is awesome. You guys are lucky to have a nice new bunch of guys and gals in your center state area. We (the Mid Atlantic Group) are going to meet at Roman's in Philly and that's always a good time. Jason from Protean may be there and if not, his euro viv design will. Roman has a bunch of his tanks. Good times !

Texas is a big state -- we're all in Texas, but Dallas / Ft Worth, Austin / San Antonio, and Houston are all 150 - 250 miles from each other - geographically we might be more comparable to a region on the east coast.

How do the cravitation ventilation (i'm not sure if that is the correct term) works with this terrarium? Does the glass get foggy?

Air will naturally flow through the bottom vent and out of the top vent
This keeps the doors mostly fog free.

Wow Chuck, you got the hook up w some super nice frogs! My first thought was those are some big #@*!*& retics... then I saw saw the label and remembered the UE promo on Arena Blanco.

Congrats

Thanks Scott!

They're pretty much the same size as my 9 mo. or so nominate amazonicas, so I think they're probably close to full grown. These only do about mach 3 (I think my grey hair quotient went up about 20% trying to get them in their little quarantine viv); my understanding is that retics tend to move at about mach 8... :-)

Look like overgrown retics with a hint of varadero in them. Will be interesting to see all the different patterns these throw. Congrats, very cool looking frogs.

So will these be the first to inhabit a Ghostviv?

Thanks Brad! They've also got a fairly strong resemblance to the nominate amazonicas -- it's kind of like they got a shade or two redder paint by a slightly drunken frog-painter :-)

Actually, I've got a couple of exos that have been growing-in for about two months; they're likely to end up in one of those...

Well, at least one of them is a male -- was feeding them last night and he decided to sing for his supper. :-)
