Washington is pretty but I don't think I could deal with all that rain. I bet theres lots of beautifull moss everywhere though.

last time I tried moss from outdoors I used a 10% bleach solution and still ended up with snails so your fears are probably well founded.

Alas.. you have confirmed my fears... is there a way to culture moss to kill the bad stuff, without detroying the spores? Open to any suggestions, I want to get some moss in the viv, but I dont want do the kyoto moss unless I have to. There are great moss' here but I need to find a way to culture it sterile.
