New Girl from IL

Hey guys.. been lurking for a while. Figured I would join now that I'm building my first viv, and planning on getting some darts soon. My name is Nicole.. I'm 25, from Northern Illinois, and I've been keeping and breeding boas and pythons for years now. I currently have RETFs, but have never kept darts before. I would like to keep a couple different species.. I'm mostly interested in a couple tinc morphs and auratus.. and plan on building at least 2 or 3 vivs (one per species/morph) for the basement. I'll post my progress with my first build over in the proper forum. Hope to learn a lot here. Smile

Hi Nicole and Welcome to Dart Den !

You are in a 'frogger friendly' geographic location, so you should have no problem networking locally and obtain quality supplies and animals nearby.

Please enjoy yourself here and post often.....oh....you like Chondros and Emeralds, do ya ? allow me to post a long overdue picture thread on Maryland's arboreal python king - Sean Stewart.

Hang on.....

Hello Nicole,
Welcome to DD and dart frogs. I'm in the southern suburbs of Chicago and you're welcome to come by the frog room anytime....as long as it's within the next month...before I move to Florida!!!
Did I forget to mention Illinois is cold and snowy and Florida isn't?
I've got some tincs and auratus I'm trying to sell so it may be worth your while to come out, well it will be anyway even if you don't go home with frogs or tads.

Thinking about hosting a very informal drink fest in my frogroom soon, before the exodus.
Welcome Nicole. Where in N. Il are you located?
Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.

If tone is more important to you than content, you are at the wrong place.
