LED's used in the Hobby ?
#1
I will be using an LED system that was used in my reef tank setup. 25 bulbs are "white", rated at 10,000 Kelvin. 30 bulbs are "blue" rated at 20,000 Kelvin. When combined, blues and whites have a rating of 14,000 Kelvin. Each bulb is 3 watts a piece and put out 165 watts total. I'm wondering if there is anyone out there that keeps darts under LED's? If so, what has happened as far as your overall plant growth? I'm not concerned with wattage or Kelvin, they put off virtually no heat from 4" away from the face. As far as being too bright, I can use a dimmer card, even set it up to mimic sunrise/sunset. Just wondering if there are others out there who have had luck with LED's?
