Good luck on the Rio Brancos. I haven't even seen these for sale in 2-3 years. I also haven't heard of anyone with success breeding them except one person in UT. The cayo de aqua also float around as yellow bellies but you don't see them often either.

Yeah I have heard the same about the Brancos as well, but thought I would give it a shot!

Thanks

You might have more success tracking down some froglets and trying to put together a pair on your own. People occasionally sell pumilio pairs but it seems to happen when people are getting out of the hobby or trimming down their collection. Often times one round of froglets would sell for the price of the pair or more, so finding a pair of something like CDA's or Brancos would be espcially tough, unless you happened to be in the right place at the right time...

some thoughts...

I tend to sell pairs and trios a lot because of a number of reasons.
Obligates and pretty much all darts ship better when they are older . I'm not shipping frogs until they are at least 6 months.
If I wait until they are 6 months -12 months then I usually have a caller if it's a male. 12 months + and I usually will have eggs if it's a female.
I have plenty of room in my basement to house all sorts of grow-outs , so room's not an issue. Nor is small food stuffs.
And, I usually get to charge a little more for sexed or proven frogs.

I happen to be the exception to a number of rules. Craig is very correct when telling you you'll find it easier to get younger pums. Just not from me, unless picking them up.
Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.

...oh, and I do still have the 1:2 Bj trio I mentioned to you via your PMs . A number of people here can vouch for their beauty and health.

Thanks for the replies guys! The only issue I had with picking up Pum froglets is shipping. I have only done it once and it was really stressful! I just worry about ending up with 2 males or so and having to sell and ship. I am just exploring the easiest route for the frogs and myself first.

I understand what you are saying and I noticed your add on DB too. Some additional advice I will give you is, there are good people in this hobby, some really shady ones, and some people in between. Make sure the people you are buying from are reputable. Make sure who you are buying from is who they say they are. If you don't know, ask questions publically or privately. As someone who is fairly new your lack of experience in the hobby and knowledge of the surroundings makes you somewhat vulnerable to a bad deal. One more thing, you get what you pay for, and if it seems like a really good deal, ask why... Not trying to lecture you, just trying to help you avoid the pitfalls that often turn people off to this hobby as a whole...
