tricolor sedum - anyone try it?
#1
Found a beautiful tricolor sedum at Lowes today that I am cleaning up. Would like to give it a try in the viv. Wondering if anyone has tried one before - is this something I should avoid? I know it likes full sun and has low water needs. I was thinking of using it on an upper shelf that would be out of the way of routine misting.

I would worry most about the humidity in a viv being too much for it. These are really adapted for arid climates. It will make a great next-to-viv plant though!

Sedum is a succulent and iv seen it thrive bare root in the back of a pickup for a month after being ripped out of the ground.
Not a good viv canadate at all. I did place a tiny ground cover type in a test viv a few years ago just to see how long it lasted. It was pressed into a clay background. Didn't make it much more then a week before it started melting.
