Great video ! Some people are squeamish about washing. You can also use a bucket or similar type receptacle.

I have used my hand a few times...to clean out the moist gunk.
Just let it dry 100% in the garage or somewhere and it gets like a hockey puck and pulls right out.

I use the excelsior to scrape out what is left of the medium. then I have a bucket fill the container with water. just let it sit for a bit and rinse it out. sometimes leave the container in the window sill and this hardens the stuff and it with a tap falls out. doesn't smell that bad.
