Is this tank OK?
#1
Greatings from Sweden!

I have a former fish tank, L:27,5 x H:15 x W:14= 24,5 gallon. I´m woundering if this is a OK tank for 2-3 Dendrobates Leucomelas or 2-3 Dendrobates Azureus.

I´m also planing a bigger tank if the 24 gallon is too small or if I just get hooked on this lovely frogs. This tank is a 100 gallon, L:31 x H:31 x W:24.

Maybe the 24g isn´t tall enough or should I wait a bit longer and build the 100g. The glas to the 100g tank is going to cost me around $130-$160.

First off, welcome to the board, and hope you find the hobby as fun and rewarding as I have. Now the 24 gal tank is big enough, but I am a fan of large tanks for several reasons. They give you a lot more room to be creative and dynamic with your setup. Also I find that you can fit larger plants without too much worry of them over growing your tank. Finally it just looks so much cooler to have a nice big show tank. So I say just save up and get the bigger tank, take your time and do everything right the first time around and you will be very satisfied in the end. If you have any questions about large vivariums just ask. I'll be glad to help, as I am sure a lot of other people here also would be.

I also am new to this viv. building and would like to build a large tank...
48"w x 18"d x 30"h, with a spray foam backing and a Misting system.
First question : Whats a good design glass design to keep a nice viewable front w/out accessing through top because of the height ? Second question : Where can i find a decent misting system cheap ? and how does one work exactly(where does the watersource come from)and where can i get the proper black spray foam locally in seattle wa.
