Correctly using Latin /Scientific nomenclature-Dart Frogs
#1
Here's how I understand it. If anyone is a Taxonomist, please chime in !

Oophaga pumilio - All Latin names italicized (Can't do this for the header of the thread / topic).

Genus Capitalized

species not capitalized.

Locations/ populations and other subjective naming, for example: 'Big Creek, Isla Colon (nominate ?),Bluff locations, Drago (older imports with orange legs), Mimitimbi" - Not italicized, CAN be Capitalized but always put in "Quotation Marks"

More Examples:

Dendrobates auratus

Dendrobates tinctorius 'Azureus'
