In their native habitat, M. laevigata deposits tads into the internodes of bamboo that hold water. The female feeds nutritive eggs to the tads much like many Ranitomeya.

Most can be kept in the same temperature range as darts. Madagascar is pretty warm too!!

I'm finding myself getting interested in Mantellas again. I kept and breed them years ago, but haven't kept any in over a decade. If anyone is getting rid of their's please let me know.
