Temperature 'gun' important for frog keeping? Yep. For $25.00 or so.... absolutely.
Get a model with a laser light. More precise....an' fun-er, too.

Every hobbyist should have one of these. The are not expensive. They are easy to order online and can be found at almost every Reptile show.

I need a second small temp gun with laser light no other bells and whistles. Gotta have the red light. Any recommendations?

While I haven't used their infrared thermometers before I have used quite a bit of their other products for my grill and chicken hatching endeavors and find their stuff works pretty good and they have great warranty support.
