Fecals: What does a Vet look for ?
#1
We are in England!

Guys, a local wildlife rescue center/hospital might be able to help us with getting fecals done, but they have little knowledge of darts, so they don't really know what they are looking for. That said, they will have knowledge, I think ,of what they are looking at if that makes sense.

So my question is: What do fecals actually show up, of course worm burdens,I presume coccidia and what else ? Also actual species names of potential parasites would be a huge help. As you have guessed at this present time we are struggling to find a vet with specialist knowledge...ha so far, but have not yet finished searching.

Thanks in advance,

Stu

Here is the book you need to own. It's pretty $$ but worth it. I own a copy and highly recommend it for anyone that maintains a medium to large size dart frog collection. It covers fecals and has some good pics of parasite eggs ect.
