I am basically wanting to get some information on the best way to accomplish the viv that I have in my mind's eye that would house some frogs and other herps. First and formost, what other herps can be kept with PDFs? I would like something a bit more exotic than geckos but am considering geckos. I have a 55 gallon long aquarium that I will be using as my viv. I would like to include some sort of background, live plants, a stream, a pond, a waterfall, a fogger, and fish in the water. I pretty much need help with all of this as I have never built a viv before. Should I be using the screen lid, or is it best to use something else for the lid? Thanks for any help that you guys can offer.

Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.
If tone is more important to you than content, you are at the wrong place.

You might be able to get away with small day geckos or satanic leaftails, but I would only put them with larger dart frog species, But take my word with a grain of salt I haven't been doing dart frogs that long, but I have been doing geckos for a long time, and leaftails have the same enviornmental requirements
Most people don't think that mixing is a good idea..Cross breeding is a big no no..In addition to the fact of keeping an whole different animal is dangerous..Not saying that you couldn't pull it off.But to be on the safe side you should read a little bit more about it...In regards to creating your paradise..Look in the construction section you can find lots of great ideas in addition to the info on how to do it...Good luck
