If you read the first review on amazon, I would like to reassure you I know something on dart frogs. I got dinged for saying Chytrid was discovered in 1999. The article bellow from a well known conservation group states amphibian issues with chytrid was discovered in 1999.
http://www.amphibianark.org/the-crisis/chytrid-fungus/ I can own up to the second scientific "error" by not mentioning some birds have been observed eating dart frogs. This forum has "hit the reset button" and is a bit slow right now. Ask questions, their are plenty of qualified people to answer your questions. People a lot more knowledgeable than me.

I forgot to mention I found two grammatical errors, it is the teacher in me after reading it dozen times. I am hoping that a schedule of every 5-7 years an updated edition can happen occur to keep up with the changes in the hobby, but not to overwhelm a newbie. I am a hobbyist and do not breed dart frogs for a living.
My advise before starting: read, ask questions, again ask questions, and find out if this is the hobby for you.

I had a funeral today and had to be up early so I was not able to dig through files last night. Here is more scientific background on Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (db, Chytrid) in amphibians discovery/described in 1999. Longcore, J.E., A.P. Pessier and D.K. Nichols. 1999.
