The rainy state of Washington here... it's almost always humid.. outside :o
Washington is pretty but I don't think I could deal with all that rain. I bet theres lots of beautifull moss everywhere though.
Yes there is, but I am afraid of bringing it into my viv for fear of critters
last time I tried moss from outdoors I used a 10% bleach solution and still ended up with snails so your fears are probably well founded.
Alas.. you have confirmed my fears... is there a way to culture moss to kill the bad stuff, without detroying the spores? Open to any suggestions, I want to get some moss in the viv, but I dont want do the kyoto moss unless I have to. There are great moss' here but I need to find a way to culture it sterile.
sorry to be off topic and ninja the thread feel free to move this post

^^ You're in a Great location. MD is darn near "ground zero" for a huge pocket of hobbyists - some going way back.
We have a local group: Mid Atlantic Dendrobatid Society (MADS).

Cumming, GA...no man's land for froggers. I can count on one hand the local serious froggers, and that's the bad hand that got stuck in a wood chipper jk.
