True and they are not looked at kindly by many in the hobby. This frog while I think its a hypo form I dont consider albino. I have seen a lemon yellow albino leuc on a pinkish brown pattern.
I just think people over value this kind of thing as their own way of hoping to make a bunch of cash. They want and push for fads. I saw this to a degree in the beginning of the clown tree thread.

I dont really see a point in arguing it off site though opinions and experiences should be posted everywhere. I dont really want to do it, I seem to post and get attacked. I blame Richard.

Wish there was an option for dont mind as long as they are not line bred, or selective breeding occurs. Im getting my albino retic next month to put with my group of normals and dont see any problem with it since its the only oddball i the group.

I don't want to be vs anyone.........maybe Richard but that's it. I have been hit a few times on stupid issues like frogs starving, albino's dieing under UV exposure and why 10 gallons aren't as good as 40 gallons and ideals on selective breeding. We need a book for the hobby. Its a simple fix.
Chris, the only issue is that an albino going into a group no matter how you view it is going to be the end result of albinos showing up in larger numbers. People sell related froglets, the do not track them and if you end up with a het self raising in the viv and breeding back you will have plenty albinos on your hands. You as one aren't really doing all that much damage but as more take on that view it will cause them to show up in numbers. Good luck with the retics. I didn't care much for the look of the albinos.

My 2 cents on the albino frogs:
If it happens naturally or the trait is being bred by a person for personal use or genetic study, I dont see a problem with it. I would hate to see it become over commercialized and become a sought after morph.
