Florida moss
#1
How come people don't get moss from the swamps of S. Florida? Has anyone tried moss from there, I would think anything from Orlando south wouldn't need a dormancy. I plan on going down in about a month to collect in the cypress swamps, hopefully I can start cultivating truly tropical moss.

Has anyone sold real tropical moss before?

I still wouldn't call floridian moss tropical...but that's just my opinion.

So dancing frogs... where would say this "tropical" moss is from - that we can buy from these places ? I would like to get real tropical moss from somewhere in Central America. By way, does anyone know what type of moss grows down there ?

Honestly I cant say...but I would say panama is more tropical than florida (duh).

If you ever look at pics of PDF habitat, you usually don't see moss, but that is not to say it doesn't exist in their habitat.

i'm not saying that the moss in central/south America is like in everyone's viv. it is very much the opposite. i'm not that dumb Brian. what i was asking is what type grows there. i looked on a web site and there are pics of the stuff growing on the logs and branches. i have to look to see if i can find the pics. i think it was from Costa Rica.
