anybody know what kind of moss this is?

nice day out so i went for a walk in the park. among the vast areas filled with various mosses that were half dead from winter, i came accross this lively patch of this stuff:

does anybody know what kind it is? i'm thinking it might be a type of Selaginella.

being from around here, i doubt it would do well in a tropical viv.
but i might give it a try in a test tank just to see how well it'll do.

i agree that it probably won't do well in a warm tank, but if it does put me at the top of the waiting list! that stuff is lovely!

Hi,
Just a warning. If any animals have come in contact with the moss they may pass along a variety of nasties not killed by bleach or other methods. Temp moss like that does not usually do well in vivs. Leaf litter is great stuff for tanks and frogs. More like what they inhabit in the wild.

Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.
