Hey all again :o
Im planning for a pair of Yellow Banded dart frogs like the one in my avatar and would like to ask a few questions about what to do once I get the pair and bring it home:
1. I have read that quarantining is the best way to make sure the new dart is eating properly and to get a fecal test in search of critters in their system. Is this the best way to ensure a new pet's safety? If so, what kind of quarantine and how long should they be quarantined?
2. Is placing the pair in the viv together the day you bring it back safe? Even if you know both darts were raised together?
-To me, ensuring the frog's safety and health is the most important element in having them as pets. Please get back as soon as possible with answers and any further opinions you may have.
-I plan to get a pair of D. Leucomelas at the Raleigh Reptile Expo this weekend! I have a 10gal set up with a light, plant cover, etc.
Thanks!
