Substrate design - is this correct ?
#1
Just to be sure I am correct about this...

From "Top to Bottom":

1. "Soil" / ABG mix on the top

2. Substrate above gravel (50/50) COCO/Peat/Spaghnum/Large bark chips or some variation of other stuff that is loose and drains well.

3. Leca and/or "false bottom" on the bottom of the terrarium for drainage.

Thanks,

Mitch

Leca is good. I like LECA much better than gravel - it's coarse and much lighter than gravel as well. I then put a layer of screen down to keep the soil out of the lower drainage layer, then go with the upper substrate, which is the same thing as soil / ABG. That's it.
