Soo apparently I was good this year for christmas... haha I got a new 18x18x18 exoterra tank...

But before I talk about that, I just want to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Andy, I'm 20yrs old and for my whole life have been a resident of a little town called Port Angeles. Over the past few years I have come to realize that I have a VERY strong passion for frogs. I have come to love just about every frog, including the red eye tree frogs, and of course the poison dart frogs. Call me crazy, but its something about their bright colors that just calms me right down haha.

Over this past year I had been toying with the idea of setting up a vivarium with pdfs. I've done lots of reading and have been checking up on this site every so often. I had never owned any sort of frog before, so I thought maybe it was a good idea to start out with something a little easier. A couple months ago I was givin the oportunity to raise two female pacific tree frogs. I had setup a small 10 gallon tank, with a few rocks, a plant and a little pool. Noting special, but it worked. Althought these frogs are a completely different story than pdfs, I figured it was still a great start into the whole herp world.

Ooookay now that all thats out of the way, I can start to talk about my new tank! I had been wanting an exoterra tank for quite some time. I know they probably arent the best type of tank for a dart setup... but I figured It looks nice, and I'd definately be willing to make the necessary mods when the time comes. Sooo anyways, I finaly got one for christmas, and spent all day trying to set it up. I decided I wanted to go with Tetrafauna repto filter water fall, with a large pool, and elevated ground. I played around with a few ideas and finaly came up with this setup:

Me neither.
Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.

Hi Andy!
Welcome to the forum.
Alright, congrats on the pictures!!!!
The fake plant you have resembles a Sygonium sp.
Sygonium rayii would do very well in that habitat,
as would some philo sp.

Philo scandens, and Philo melanochrysum, are both good in the vivarium.
Pilea sp. and trandescantia would do well in this set up.
