OK. I am new to this, so have some patience with me. I am still investigating getting into this exciting hobby and I have a few questions I want to get answered before I get started. I am wondering about the size of the different species. I see referenced to "F1" and some decimals to describe the different darts. Can anyone tell me how to decipher what these mean? And I am wanting to find out the approximate sizes of the the different species. Tinc, leucs, pumilios, ect. I am really leaning toward the Tincs (probably the Brazilian morph) or The Phantasmal Poison Frog (Salvias Morph). I have a 110 gallon salt water aquarium that I am designing and want to design the environment to the type of darts that I am going to get. If anyone could give me some advice or direct me to some resources to find some answers i would greatly appreciate it

I am building a vivarium with running water and live plants in a 55 gallon tank. I dont want to over crowd the habitat but would like to add a few different types of amphibians if I can. My question is, can I have dart frogs with whites tree frogs or green tree frogs? What about some geckos or salamanders? Also, we have a smaller 2 1/2 gallon tank inside so are there certain types of fish I should stick with or are fancy guppies ok? Im trying to do as much research as possible before I add anything alive to my tank so any advice is appreciated!

Real good explanation on mixing with others. Years ago.. just starting with Amphibians. I had a Small Pacman and a Small Dumpy. It was a Twenty high and i thought they would be ok. And I guess looking for food the dumpy came down.. I came home and saw the dumpy hanging out of the pacmans mouth. I was able to coax the pacman to open and the dumpy was ok. Me and wife split then getting back into frogs. I got another dumpy, whom now is over two years old. Huge. I want to get a tank mate. but will only get another dumpy just as big. I have a 110 Gallon on its end. but imagine putting a dart with a full grown dumpy. Dumpy might think its a Large Snack. Not only stress and so forth. I recommend at least with the frogs, one or the other. Knowing is half the battle.. YO JOE! -Buddha

Good luck with that. Sounds like it will be pretty tricky...

My White's tree frogs ate three adult Bahamian anoles that I put in the viv overnight after breaking the front glass on the anole viv.
My big female will try to tackle full size roaches. I can't imagine much of anything being safe in a viv with White's, even smaller specimens of the same species.
