Hi,
Just curious why you want red media. The blue stuff in the Carolina media is mold inhibitor.
How about VERY red wine vinegar??

Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.
If tone is more important to you than content, you are at the wrong place.

I have not had good luck with the black jungle media. It quickly becomes ran over with mold. The inhibitor does not seem to have much of an affect.

the vinegar is a good idea Rich, ill give it a try, and thanks for all the sights everyone, i wated red media because well mainly it will be my own, i havent seen any red media out there, so i wanted to give it a shot, the first ones i made, worked fine but the color faded from the media in about 2 weeks, so ill have to try the vinegar or the powders i can find. thanks for the help everyone.

the blue is only food coloring not mold inhibitor. just plaind old food grade food coloring. never talk to the help desk, go right to the lab. anything else is speculation.

Try using cranberry juice instead of water.

What about red food coloring? That's definitely safe and easy.
