Love the mysti pics Stu, beautiful frogs for sure. Transport pics are some of my favorites. It's awesome that they are producing so well for you. I think the last one should definitely be picture of the month, whaddya say Phil?

Very flattering mate thankyou but the picture quality is so good here, one POTM is more than special, and totally some of my favourite pics are those of transportation, aswell, the current POTM is a blinder. This is our first time to see it so feel pretty damn fortunate,we left these hoping they are the last clutch and hoping for this to happen
well chuffed!!

oh my.....lovely Stu...just lovely !
A Mysti transport ...MULTIPLE transport. That's like a hat trick of dart frog hobby photos right there.
I can easily foresee a POTM at some point. So many frogs/pics so few months. An embarassment of riches.

I was musing on your food thread the other day guys we also do barbi's but maybe not quite as civilised as yours.we use bits of wood proper old school a few stones placed around a fire,as we are inclined to eat out at nearly all times of the year we thought it might be worth having a clean up with spring on the way so,very gently my son cleaned out the ash to move it onto the veg beds,he was under instruction to be gentle because i have friends here, surprise surprise this is the pretty girl he found,so not darts guys but its nice to share these gems

Well guys its been a real real hard old week in our little room, after a very good run for a couple of humble beginners we have just been clobbered by sls twice,we have lost 2 of our first 3 attachi tads, just slight sls but enough, the 3rd actually looks better...stronger than the others, noticable was the fact that it popped 2 front legs cleanly where as the other 2 got their " hands stuck, and the 3rd took almost a week and a half longer to get to the same stage, honestly i just don't know whether he'll make it,we are both gutted, but there are some things that might have a bearing,ie the first eggs not long after the move here, which must have been hellish stressful for them so as always, going to be optimistic.the second is with the mysties,i have seen it here aswell, after such a great start again properly gutted,i just wonder how much the lack of their wild grub through the winter in this case has had a bearing on this.I feel its incredibly important to tell everyone that we have had some problems, not easy actually very hard, but if we sort things out then maybe some other frogs might be given a chance because of our shortcomings. So we have already started a bi weekly dose of vit A to the breeding stock, maybe this will help, and i spent hours the other day with freezing mitts getting all the live grub i could for them mainly bloodworms as no mossi larvea to be found, real hard core all this but, maybe there is something to be learned, however much of a downer this all sounds we are not giving up and have no thoughts of that, just feel its very important to tell folks when it goes wrong as well as all the good stuff, especially as a guy learning the ropes,we've never been out to BS people, folks see this as it happens from a viv build to a tad rearing system. Up till now all has been stupidly good for us,i have worked with animals for a very long time and have always known not everything will be viable and nor should it be,nature never rears everything,so nor should we,but when you really give a damn as most of us do its bloody hard .
But its not all bad,we have a good old group of mysties coming ootw, not all are sls,so we aren't far off,i just need to find out WTF is going on with these so special frogs,so suffering from my usual PMA (positive mental attitude) here's some of the good stuff
and our ver first little leucs abit furthur on
oh note the first pic............Alien 8)
![[Image: IMG_3056.jpg]](http://i739.photobucket.com/albums/xx37/soundstounite/Da%20frog%20Room/IMG_3056.jpg)
so not all bad just we are both driven to do better
more in a moment
regards

Great pics Stu!! I see what you were getting at. That's the difference between tincs and auratus though. The auratus run away scared when you open the viv door and the tincs are whistling at you and saying "over here big boy"

Glad you are keeping it positive Stu! Everyone hits speedbumps...gotta fight through it and remember to enjoy the frogs (as you clearly do!). And a big thank you for the honesty, I know other newbies such as myself really appreciate it. No one learns from people that do everything "perfectly". Anyway, amazing shots of some beautiful frogs...as always. Still super-jealous of the mysties, such gorgeous frogs. Hope everything is well on that side of the pond bud!
Edit: Loving that alien-pattern on the leuc, so cool!!!

yeah mate absolutely, the auratus are much shyer and yes our adults do almost as expected, occasionally zorina our big SB female lingers but its always food driven, jon i can't wait to get some feedback on how bold our kids become when they go to new homes,we really have worked on this, dying to know more...beginners and their hair brain schemes

Hey buddy ya good?
Field we have a saying here..."the man that never made a mistake, never did nothing " its hard this stuff, but it has to happen sooner or later, your thanks are very kind plus the words of encouragement. It is i feel hugely important to tell the good and the bad, especially for us guys learning the ropes.the more pitfalls we can see coming the more we'll be ready or more able to avoid them, mate i'm seriously shattered after a gruelling day,we rushed up stairs, little attachi is out of the water,i'm not sure but all looks well,2 weeks and i'll know for sure, just need to know its started feeding now,of course there is caution after loosing the first 2 but ya never know mate, things might just turn around here,i'm holding on to the fact of first clutch here,LMAO more of that mad optimism plus trying me best to do something about the situation...to make up for my shortcomings.
things are a bit horrendous but hell we keep darts so they are never bad, hope things are good for your bro,hmm i bet the little Alien changes his spots  but its nice to grab these pics ,just fed the little folks way to late in the day but the only opurtunity, ahh man they are starting to get used to mum and dad and nailng mel already,'ive said it before ...the simple things ROCK
best

Field thanks dude!!!

![[Image: IMG_3179.jpg]](http://i739.photobucket.com/albums/xx37/soundstounite/Da%20frog%20Room/IMG_3179.jpg)
really hoping that the sls might just be a first clutch thing ,have spent hours getting little bits of wild live grub into tads in a vain effort to do something also added vit A to the dusting regime of all parents ,but this will not help tads of course ,but the live stuff might and the tincs adore it...natural born killers
Oh i know this is a double post but hell we loved seeing this oh and both little tads are doing great in the front ditch of their Euro (this term scares me ) viv. So here is tank our female attachibakka carrying one of her kids to water whilst courting her man 8)

Yummy
panama specials
here are a few of the adults followed by our first little fella, fore some reason out before his mates,a betting man would say Stu and Shaz gave him more wild stuff than the rest, but the rest are coming 2 now are ready for the morphout chamber
oh and the little fella, very different ground colour to any of our SB's

As with little tinc putting on weight rapidely as befits having more a good sized tub rammed with springtails, both are now taking wingless mels as are the leucs and the latest batch of tiny mysties,
best of luck with your frogs guys

Some mysites in morphout, still being clobbered by the sls, but still getting results...infuriating/heartwrenching!!! still grabbing all the wild grub i can for the tads, working on the theory that as they are in the water so long i might be able to rectify some defficency...can but try. Definitely worth the effort what a joy these are
![[Image: IMG_3197.jpg]](http://i739.photobucket.com/albums/xx37/soundstounite/Da%20frog%20Room/IMG_3197.jpg)
Better luck with the new clutch of attachis methinks. 2 now have what appears to my untrained eye good strong legs...well if they aren't I'd be amazed, more look good to follow,if they all are good my thoughts are either the first clutch here was somehow hampered in developement by the parents being moved here and laying not long after ie. stress related or the wildgrub is doing something even in the later stages of a tadpole's developement, can but hope hey,but it might rule out my thoughts on temperature of the water as these would have experianced the coldest possible temps as per the first lot. Tricky trying to find the right path for us when we all have so many different factors to contend with, the variables i call them and sls has clobbered so many folks before us with so much more knowledge
take care
