Laying of multiple clutches in the same area.

I looked in to the imi viv this morning to check on the tadpole- who seems to have been moved!
There had been 2 eggs developing ontop of the filmcanister the tad was in, but I noticed an additonal 2 eggs were added.
Is this something that happens a lot?

If you don't pull and they are on a mission. I posted these on another thread and for POTM. Here are some D. tinc "azereus" eggs.

Wow! Those were some busy frogs! There are 6 film canisters in the viv, with 2 bromeliads.
I guess I will need to keep a really close eye on them and If they fill up all the canisters I wont have a choice but to start pulling.
Can one frog support so many tadpoles?

They will not support them all. FYI, all eggs made it but I was lucky. The last two had the worst chance.

I am guessing that is why a lot of people pull imi eggs?
I never realized how prolific they are! Is all of this information in your book?

People pull for the higher egg and tadpole survival. Egg information, including pictures of the stages of development are in my book.
