New Dog
#1
I have been wanting a new dog for a while, but for the past week I have REALLY been wanting one. I checked out the online local shelters and had found one in particular I was interested in but unfortunately It got adopted out today. We checked a handful of shelters in person and there wasn't any other dogs that i liked.

I have been wanting a truck buddy. A dog that I could take to work with me everyday, a dog that wouldn't haul off barking at people acting aggressive or jumping on them even in a nice way. One that if I brought it into the office it wouldn't act like a spaz or anything.

My wife had been bugging me to get one of her friends bernese mountain dog puppies but i always assumed they where way too big. Well she twisted my arm into going to check them out today...that and i wanted to meet her friend Tongue

Needless to say I fell in love with the mother, she was so docile and friendly. Barked 3 times when we knocked and that was it...unlike my stupid Pomeranian.

only one pup left in the litter, there was a few with prettier markings but she was still a sweetheart

Bernese and what is assumed German shepherd but they are unsure. Mother was raped in the backyard and they only saw the perpetrator for a few seconds before he took off.

Still trying to come up with a name. The previous owners called her lilly but we are thinking either Chloe, Sadie, Echo or Rayne.

Cool....it's the equivalent of 'froglet size"....there's no telling what it will look like when it grows up (in 40 days or less).

I hear ya big time on the pomeranians. I'm almost ashamed to say that I own 2. My black lab almost makes up for the lack of masculinity associated with my poms. We looked into the burnese mountain dogs also, a friend has one. Just as a heads up, watch for heart issues. Maybe, being a mutt will help, but I want to say the life-expectancy of that breed was waaaay low (off the top of my head, 8 years max?). Low enough for us to get turned off. Don't want to be a downer, sorry Mike. But, on the up side, everyone I know that has one sings their praises as a pet.

Yea google was saying around 7 years... not really an issue for me. Unless of course I actually get overly attached to it. We had a black lab pitbull mix that refused to die. 18-19 years before he finally did, tough old bastard. From the smell of his breath he died 6 years before his body just refused to acknowledge it.

She had me worried that it was going to be a long night with all the squeeking at the back door but finally she crashed.

They where nice enough to give us the comforter the mother nursed on so shes at least really happy laying on that.

Chloe has been doing rather good, growing soooo fast. She went to work with me for the second time this week and is doing really well in the truck.

She just learned how to go up and down the stairs two days ago and now slides! She loves going down the slide, but chickened out on the steep ones.

Thanks, I may of scared her off the playground for a few days. She went down the slide today and didn't land right and hurt her leg a little. Nothing bad but she had a light limp for a few mins. She refused to go back up the stairs again after that.
