Vivarium vs Terrarium ?
#21
^^^ BRITISH publication.....

Just messin' with ya Jason. Here's something for you though, as an author, why would you entertain two distinctly spelled and sounding words to be used interchangably and for the same purpose? What benefit does anyone have with this train of thought ?

I would say most books and articles maintain constancy using the same term. This is nothing new, multiple words for the same thing. Pollywog/tadpole just a quick one off the top of my head in herpetoculture. (In fact pollywog has multiple spellings.)I see no harm/problem. In the present I would say terrarium is more mainstream and why I used it in my book. Commercially you see terrarium more than vivarium.

(This conversation has been my break from homework. Nice to get back to frogs!)
