What percentage of bromeliads die in your vivs ?
I'm usually around 40%...

First, I don't have a green thumb and usually kill most house plants. However, through no skill on my part, I can't seem to kill vivarium plants. Not only do the majority of my broms survive, they end up producing many pups such that I have remove some so the vivs don't get too crowded.

I deffinitely lose less than 10 percent but plants are my specialty. I always stick with mini broms none over 8'' in vivs and plan them accordingly. Nothing planted where it will rot and nothing planted where it doesnt get good light and air circulation.

I rarely lose a brom once I get it into a viv, it is the ones I try to grow in pots that tend to suffer.

So far I have lost only one brom in viv.....

Now....we are talking LONG term here. Not just newly set up vivs after 4-8 months ect.
Over the years.....or at least a year.....
