since I have only posted here very few times ( thanks phil for pointing that out ) I have only posted by phone.
I am without internet at home for the time being but would much rather use my computer. I hate typeing long replys on the phone, its just a PITA.

That's exactly what I'm trying to figure out Eric. With all the hotspots and free wi-fi....phones are becoming the posting staple. It's harder though, as you say...and a lot of misspellings ect.

I do both but prefer using a computer....i am also notorious for using a laptop while driving typing one handed.

Now, I realize these results may/will be skewed due the tappatalk issue....but hey....fire up the poll again, anyway.

Compu-what?
Phone mostly out of convenience. I'm rarely on the computer anymore for non work related things.
It's the wave of the future Phil, for better or worse.

(skipping over the tapatalk poll problem) It might also be interesting to ask where most people read (as opposed to post to) dart den.
If I get a reply notification, or if I'm bored watching TV, I'll often check forums with my phone, or via a tablet (ipad or android, depending on where I'm at). This is almost inevitably through Tapatalk, mostly since I don't want to bother with logging in on a mobile browser.
During "business hours", I mostly read from my desktop machine. If I want to post more than a sentence or two, I'll usually go to my desktop to do it; I can't type fast enough on a mobile device.
(In other words, I read a lot more through mobile than I post)

I think you're right. Another reason is that for a lot of people, forums are their own geeky little world, and don't look or act like Facebook or anything else they routinely deal with. On a mobile app, however, they look and act a lot like most other mobile apps, and are not such a foreign experience.

I do think it gives people more of an opportunity to participate, using a phone that is.
I much more active now than I was being tied to a CPU.
Again... For better or for worse.

I always post from my PC. Once and a blue moon I'll log in from my phone, but have never posted. I can't stand typing on the thing... Same as e-mails, I'll read them and call the person if it's important. If not, I respond when I get back to my PC.

I never post or even login on the PC. If it wasn't for my phone, i wouldn't be on any forums.

I can't type anything long or meaningful on anything but a full keyboard. I use swiftkey app for mah' droid and while it rocks, it's just not feasible for anything longer than a couple sentences.

This may just mark us as "touch typists of a certain age"

I hate the swipe, pain in the ass for me. I also don't use the tap talk...
Hell i didn't even know there were dart forums until i upgraded to a smart phone. All i knew about darts was what i read in books. I just don't have time to go on the PC. I can post at work when i have some free time and build vivs in the garage all the while keeping up to date.
