Patience as soon as I have read in full I will let you know what its like, I can say that the photos are OUTSTANDING. I'm still reading my copy of the lotters jungfer henkel & Schmidt book. This is taking me a while to get through

We know the Lotters book is a "home run"......that one's already proven.

I know, that's why got it, only just at the beginning of Sept though. I've read it once but there's so muck info there I need a second go to try to absorb as much as possible. I'm relatively new to darts so want all the info I can get my hands on.
Best to read the gold standard before looking at something new in my eyes
Should have an update for you in a couple of weeks

It's predominately a picture book, with a few written chapters, the photos are logged by location, & elevation, most look as if they were taken in situ & there are a several examples of most locality types, I don't think there's anything new here but its very unusual to have details of most (if not all) morphs in one place.

The author of this book - Chris van der Lingen, passed away yesterday (unexpectedly) from an apparent heart attack.
Very sad news.

????
It is entirely a picture gallery, all photos in situ.
102 different colorforms/locales, which is the most complete list to date.
Multiple photos of each type, in 'proportion' to the population phenotypes/variability rather then just the 'cool odd' ones at each site.
Painstakingly researched, with general location on map, and morph size in mm for each locale.
Many 'new' sites, and many not included in this book to protect the small populations. Only Chris knew the details of the 'Plot' locales and the specific farms and groves to find many of these animals, and was working with the local land owners to preserve the plots.
Now you know.

I got my copy from Chris before his passing....I dont see that Mike and Rich have it on their website.
I do believe though that Chris' family is still taking orders and shipping.
