Hey all,
Any Atlanta area froggers around? Seems like we are few and far between...

Michael (poisonbeauties) is here a bit and a couple other Georgia boys and girls. Not that many that I know of...
I should be down in Gainesville by early 2012 - that's only 2 hours from Atlanta ?

Gainesville is about 30 mins east of where I live, I think its only about 50 mins northeast of Atlanta. Are you moving up here or just visiting?

I moved to the Augusta area now, have about 20 different species ready or soon to be ready. Mainly tincs and auratus. Have some thumbs also.

Gabe are you still in the Army ? I tried like hell to get wish-listed over to Hunter Army airfield but my MOS kept me stuck in Benning.

We had a meet last fall, but mostly it's just meeting up at the shows. There are a couple of froggers out your way, but no one that I know of with a big collection. Send me a pm with contact info and I'll make sure you find out about any events. In a couple of weeks a few of us are getting together so that may be a good time to meet some of the locals

and even FIELD HERPING THE OPEN EXHIBITS ! I did it all a few times at the Baltimore Aquarium after making friends with a couple guys.

Phil is right, making connections at ABG is a great idea. Not only can you see behind-the-scenes stuff, you can also collect plants (my favorite part). There are a couple of local froggers that work at ABG and a couple more that work at the GA aquarium.

and the sky is the limit. Do you think the ABG would be jazzed about hosting Frog Day some year ? I bet they would !

They hosted it once, '05 maybe. I would love for them to host it again.

I'm not exactly in the Atlanta area, but I live about 150 miles South of Atlanta. Don't think there are many froggers at all in my area. Kind of a "no man's land" it seems as far as darts go. I've had the pleasure of meeting Field in person and actually got some frogs from him. Thanks Field! I hope to get to meet more of you in the future as I'm just getting back into the hobby in the last six months after living in Hawaii for the last 3 1/2 years. Loved Hawaii but no frogs there!

I lived in Gainesville recently, and yes you are right...you are in a mini black hole for froggers.
The Frog Hobby kinda follows urban population and infrastructure -roads ects. Good on the coast. Good in the cities and built up areas. Other than that, be prepared to drive a bit.
