"Reticulated poison dart frog" is the label and they list a latin name of "Dendrobates ventrimaculatus" for $50.00 each or 6 for $45.00 each.
They list a quantity of 12.
On their "just out" pricelist. No pics.
Interesting.

Phil can you explain the concern with the 'Reticulated' frogs. I have seen a small number of threads talking about them but im not really sure what they are, and why people dont want to see them.
Thansk!
Oh and I have Dendrobates ventrimaculatus... Those aren't the same thing as the 'Reticulated' frogs right?

Oh I see... WC is really looked down upon because frogs are readily available in the hobby and Capturing wild specimens for profit is unnecessary and potentially harmful to their existence correct?

^ little more complex than that, but I'm more concerned that an Importer is mislabeling a species - that type of thing.

I see, sorry if I threw it off...
Mislabeling is a common mistake in the fish world and it drives me crazy, especially with hybrids.

No, WC frog collection and sales should be looked down upon
when they are harvested in an unsustainable fasion. Catching the slow and lazy may even help large populations. What's sustainable is debatable.
BTW, there are not many species of darts readily available which ,if imports were closed today , would be well established enough to survive the hobby long term. The genetic management is not there today.
Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.
