We installed 14 wall outlets in the room. There are 3 overhead ceiling outlets. Overheads are powered on separate switches. One switch to control the ceiling mounted LED's for the moon glow effect and one switch for the regular room lights when I am in. Each shelf will be controlled by Exo-Terra Light Cycle units for the simulated sunrise, sunset. 5 of the 48 inch units have been acquired...have a few more to purchase yet. Will be running all T8s, 6500k for my plant growth(for now). Might switch this out for LED's...just not sure what I want wrap up money wise into the lighting.

Just make a whole new post. There is only a 5 min or so allowed editing time - pretty standard for forums. Non editing prevents people from pouting, lying or otherwise trying to "take back" what they said and say..."nuh uh...I didn't say or post that". That type of thing.

Looking great! Can't wait to see it all done. Are you going to be putting a sink in there? That is the one thing I wished for most in my old frog room.

Nothing wrong with that! I had something similar in the man cave...but after having twins I had to give that room up! So onto the basement. Framed off a section for the frog room and the remainder will be finished for a play room for all the kids. Here are some pics of what the mess is that helped cause this build...[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND][ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]
Have to excuse the mess...had to start moving stuff out of the way for floor tank space. Still not sure what I am going to do with everything in there. Have furniture and all that needs to go somewhere since my boys will taking ot over as a bedroom.

Thank you very much! I'll get the measurements of it up tomorrow when I get a chance after work. Really hard to do anything during week with work and the zoo of kids and animals. It's a funky L shape. Door is a swing out door so I don't lose anyspace inside the room. Then you walk in, where it opens up to what will be a work bench and desk on left, the plant rack straight ahead. Then as you turn right into the room the main display will be on the left wall. Hoping to give it a museum style look. Custom cabinets that will house all lighting, miating, and draining. Keeping only the glass visible of all the tanks. Then on right side of room will have the bakers racks with all the misc. tanks like verts and etc housed on them. The mini kitchen will be all the way at end on last small end wall. That will have all the sink, wash area supplies and incubator hooked up.

Thanks man, yep we just got all the plumbing ran yesterday for it. Going to be a temporary setup on the sink legs for now so its usuable right away as the custom counter and cabinets are made. I'll get pics of that up once we install that this week.
