That 55 can be designed like any other pum viv, if you keep it horizontal. There are some people that try for 55 and 40 gallon verts, but I have yet to see how they work *better* , as they are so deep and much harder to light and 'scape.
a 55 horizontal will allow for a great brom display, IMO....a huge array for them all along the back wall would display really, really well.
Glass top. Auto misting system - 4 nozzles.
Careful with the lighting - avoid super H.O reef-like lights. Too hot and too bright for pumilio. You will see them more, if you provide lots of plantings and stay away from the H.O lighting.

That's what i'm shooting for Phil. No T5HO bulbs on this tank lol. I'm only going to run a single 36in T12 bulb.... I'm going to try and "drown" out the light with broms and other plants so it a bit dark on the bottom. I plan to add 20+ broms to the viv, all different sizes and colors. I also plan on using alot of wood too. That will help with the light not reaching the substrate. I'm going to purchase the RS400 mister. I have spring tails coming outta my ears so this thing will be seeded very well with those right off the bat. I'm hoping TJ had some luck with the pink springs and I can get a handful of those for in there. The rest of the microfauna will come in time. I just hope I don't forget anything which is why I posted this lol. Oh this wont be a vert either lol.

I would look for a large wood feature that can serve as a huge "shelf" running the whole length of the rear wall and attach all 20 broms to it. Broms love to root and attach to wood - much better than trying to jam them into the rear wall GS or clay and you don't have to worry about root rot and bad drainage when you attach to wood.
