Hi Efren and welcome to Dart Den !

There was another hobbyist here that posted a lot of stuff and some great pics and he was from Mexico city too.

Please take your time to look around this site and enjoy yourself. We look forward to pics of your frogs and vivariums.

Wow..the 3rd or 4th largest city in the world and no frogs, supplies or feeders ??!??!

Serious question:

As a gringo, if I take a taxi in Mexico City, what is the likelyhood that I'll get kidnapped or rolled ?

Maybe it would be the language barrier that concerns me as my Spanish is limited.....but I feel safe in a cab in NY - bronx, upper east side, Harlem.

I just can't understand why there are no big Pet Stores or exotic animal stores down there. No fish stores, salt water tanks ?

I want to clear up the "taxi comment". I read that it's dangerous to travel by cab in a couple different U.S magazines and since I do a lot of traveling myself (central America but not Mexico) I was curious. I did not intend for my question to be a negative remark about your City or Country and I apologize if you took offense.

Have you tried all the major Biology departments at the local Universities for wingless fruit flies ? Often, students studying biology and genetics will have access to flightless fruit flies for use in their projects.

My Dad got robbed getting out of the airport in Mexico City by the cops, he was in a business trip lol.(a while back though many yrs ago)

I have a friend in Guadalajara who has an Exotic fish store he usually brings fish in from South America (im sure you can get cool stuff through him)
