It's basically a very large Reptile / Exotic animal show and there is usually @ 25 or more forum members that wander around and most bump into each other. Occasionally, 3-4 members will congregate around a vendor table and commence to chatting...

ahhh i got you. i though it was like a local Club meeting (like the ones my fish club does here in CLT monthly) but now i found some info on it. under the U.S regional groups forum...

so in case i get the days off (which i highly doubt) what airport is near the convention/meeting place?

Juan, try to see if you can make "Frog Day 2012" in Chicago in May. THAT will be the best show for dart frogs and meeting fellow hobbyists for the entire year - Undisputed !
