I hope they offer some additional clarity on this. Granted this is only a house bill right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if this passes.

I can see it passing, especially with all the Florida snake hysteria to ride in one. More $$ for State coffers !

I remember when I was working for a pet shop in NJ in the mid 90's, they passed a stricter law for exotic animals. In NJ they had it so that if you already owned the animal, you didn't have to get a permit for it but needed one for newly acquired. There was also a loophole to where you could get a permit that was for "teaching aids" which was free but still needed a permit. Not sure if they've changed it or not.
