Scientific names vs marketing names
#1
I've seen some posts recently concerning a "High Orange" varadero. Why do people feel the need to make up names for their frogs? A marketing name such as that gives the impression that this frog was line bred for high orange. Really it may be just a normal variability in the frogs coloration, happens naturally all the time. So the need for multiple hobbyists to start calling it "sunset" or "tangerine" varadero. It's still the same frog as a normal everyday varadero. This can only lead to confusion, and the possibility of fake lines being produced as some might say a "sunset" can only be bred to a "sunset" etc. I hope this does not become a new trend in the hobby.
Any thoughts?

Oops!! My bad Phil, I didn't see the other thread. If you wanna throw this in there please do so.
