Hi guys! Just wanted to post some pics of my newly constructed vivarium... I've not done this before so if my BBCode doesn't work, forgive me!
This is a 55 gallon planted vivarium with a small water feature and ultrasonic fog piped in. No PDFs yet - I plan to buy them at Atlanta Botanical Gardens during Frog Days! Haven't quite decided yet which PDFs I'm going to attempt to buy.... Oh, and there's a question after all my pics!
this is a shot of the entire tank:
Looking down the length of the tank at an angle:
Large piece of driftwood, orchid, brom, ferns, and small palm:
Water feature with driftwood "root" and air plants:
The tank filling with fog:
OK.. now for my question: I've monitored my viv's temp and humidity for a coupld of weeks now and it seems to be sometimes getting down to 69.5 degrees at night. I have a temperature and humidty monitor that keeps track of the lowest and highest numbers. In two weeks it hasn't gone below 69.5. Do you guys think I need to invest in any type of heater? During the day it stays at a pretty regular 76. Also, the humidity seems high to me (mostly staying between 95% and 97%). I was thinking of purchasing a small computer fan to circulate some air. Can your humidty be TOO high?
Thanks guys!
Jason
