Next weeks pumilio shipment!
#1
For those of you who really liked the last imports - salt creek, esperanza and loma partida...If you are willing to acquire WC and deal with them, then have your $$$ ready to buy them before "someone" buys them all and marks them up to unaffordable prices and keeps you from getting some cool little pumilio.

Also for those of you bastimiento(cemetary) and solarte freaks, a good variety of those will also come in once again!

Just thought Id let ya know!!! : )

^^ and that's not necessarily a bad thing at certain times.

Sidney...you are now asking me to delete this thread ? Why ? Who is pressuring you to ask that ?

This forum is all about moving the hobby forward and that can't happen through closed doors and hidden info. Do you wish this new shipment to be secret and info only doled out to select individuals...if so, that kind of nepotism / elitism in our hobby makes me ill.

I actually mean good by this and feel that everyone(veteran/noob) should get an equal shot at getting something they might have been wanting to work with. No one preassuring, just realized that the guys at strictly have treated me great and I didnt stop to think if this post might negatively affect them and my relationship with them. Just asked you out of respect for them phil.

Am I out of line with this?

I have heard the rumours on this shipment as well. I don't know how this could upset Strictly - the added free advertising will bolster sales, I would think.

And I agree with you...it would be nice to see some new faces get some fresh imports instead of the same old heads.

I admit....I have sold pumilio to newcomers, yet I actually took (and still am) the time to help them and pass on all I know thats helped me successfully breed these frogs and have gotten positive results doing so. When I started, all I heard was all this nonesense about what frog is for whom and if Im just starting out then stay away from this frog as I am not worthy and capable of keeping it yet...ahhh the f with that I said and went ahead and got my blue jeans and bribri...and with the help and guidance of one older frogger I was able to breed the shit out of my pumilio in no time. So that is how I feel about ...pretty much every frog. If they are male and female, given the proper setting, they will eventually breed for you wheather youre the obligate master or obligate "flipper"...

Yep, just look for them available from the HUNDREDS of clients Strictly Reptiles has. I suggest buying these specimens from someone who is able to cherry pick O. pumilio in person from Strictly. There are plenty of decent and reliable resalers to choose from.

There are a few people that cherry pick that have a good relationship with them. Otherwise, buy from someone who purchased a larger quantity. I guess what I am trying to say is, to get these frogs, you DON'T need to buy them from Sidney. It seems like Sidney came on this board to hint that you can contact him for these new frogs. While people can make their choice about who to do business with, THERE ARE CHOICES. There is a reason Sidney got banned from DB, and because it was recent, I doubt he has changed his ways that quickly.

As long as there are exotic animal importations...there will be cherry pickers.

The February shipment had cherry pickers.

The 'official' reason for Sidney's 'ban' was for having multiple accounts - TOS violation. Anyone know of any other reason ?

So Sidney....are you involved in this next batch, or not ?

I like to think that reason is the same as I'm thinking, lying about something. I personally thought it was a bit much to ban him, but it did solve the issue. I thought that being open and out there would have worked, too.

Either way, there are choices, I was just trying to make sure that was out there. I wanted people to know that in case they came across this thread.

Phil,
If I have something to do on this shipment, might be for 2-3 solartes for myself and thats all. Ive got plenty of pumilio now to continue my projects with and the only way I will be involved is by offering help to those who buy some frogs and might want to learn how to go about keeping these new imports.

And Justin, I wouldn't be worrying to much on who buys from me or who doesn't. Believe me when I say that I am set with people that are willing to buy from as they have many times before...therefore I have no need to be posting it on here... By the looks on your icon, seems you bought your pumilio from that unreliable source you speak of as it looks skinny and sick. Ir is it a froglet? If you have any more personal issues with me I ask you pm me and don't sabotage yet another thread I am in.

Good to hear you won't be reselling these. For the record, I have no problems with people doing business with you if they know the potential issues.

The pumilio in my icon came direct from Strictly. If you have noticed in my threads, I have no problems with Strictly selling animals. It was not them who I had a problem with in regards to pumilio. It was you giving out false information on animals you purchased from them. That was my issue. You misrepresenting them.

Really? You are saying that the male O. pumilio Cauchero in that pic is skinny, undersized, and sick? I'd never know, he was about a year from import in that picture, in perfect health, and doing awesome. He still is! Hell, he's one of the best I've seen come out. Do I let me frogs become obese? Heck no, but they certainly have lots of food to eat. Perhaps I'll encourage fatty liver disease at a later date.

Again, my purpose was not to sabotage this thread, but to let others know that you can buy frogs from this import from a plenty of different sources after they are imported. This was not about YOU, but the potential client. They can make their own choice with the information at hand. I truthfully wish you the best.

I think we are going to hard pressed to come up with anything "exact" Stu. The importer is located in South Florida and that is also where the shipment first cleared as well. Yes... Strictly Reptiles - Hollywood Florida.

I don't know if Sidney was physically present, when the boxes were opened.

SOME reported 'morphs' / populations were said to be:

1. "Salt Creek" bastimentos
2. "Esparanza" - blue and reddish pumilio
2. Popas - all different colours
