This is a little 5 gallon Eclipse Hex 5 I set up to be sure I keep my mind on daydreaming about pdf's while I'm at work. I used a great stuff, cork, cypress wood backgound. My first effort with expanding foam. That stuff is no joke. There are places to hide in the back behind the plants. I will need to have a glass top cut for it to make it truley pdf/ff proof. The venus will come out in Nov. and go into the fridge. Maybe some java or x'mas tree moss in the little pool and one or two more plants.By then I will be in the mind to maybe pick up a dwarf tinc morph for the tank. Of course this being at work I will have to get some approval around here. So far my immediate supervisor is a frog fan. Only two more yay's to go. Wish me luck.

Here is an updated shot with broms from Jace King. The Incaxfireball on the right will get a new home this weekend.

New plants added. Mini spathaphyllum leftside; strawberry begonia right (temporary) this will replace the flytrap come fall; 3 tilli pubs from one big fat 13 inch mama who still has 4 more pubs to go. Also a small orchid Can anyone identify these for me?

That's a beautiful tank for your desk. I can't imagine why someone wouldn't want to have that in an office. I wanted to have one of my tarantulas at work, and yes, people freaked out! Good luck with it.

I wanted to have a small viv at work with a dart in it, but I was worried that I wouldn't be there to feed it on the weekends. Is it okay for them to go 2 days with no food? Thanks.

Well I have not had the oppertunity to start that part of the plan yet. I had assumed with my tank that two phat feeding and mistings on a friday would tide a frog over until Monday. And if I had fear of being gone longer or leaving a wee one alone over the weekend. It is a portable size and package.

I'm going to give it a try. A heavy misting/feeding should suffice for 2 days. And like you said, it's easy enough to bring home for a longer weekend. It's a great looking tank, good luck with it!

What type of lighting do you have with that? Or is it just the standard lighting that comes with the Eclipse Hex 5 if so how is it working out for you?

The lights are an eclipse standard bulb. It's a 10 watt compact florescent. The ballast is regulated to a 15 watt. I've made some attempt to located a brighter bulb locally. However the moss, fittonia, and creeping fig are all growing good. I've added a few tillindasias, a strawberry begonia, and a mini spathaphyllum. I'll bore you all with another update tomorrow.
Thanks for the interest. I'm doing a lot better with this tank than my 18high at home.

Very cool, why I was asking is I work at petsmart and I can get my hands on a returned tank for quite cheap and was thinking of doing what you have done Smile

Thanks for the continued interest. They are updated pics in thge first post. I've got to get this tank good to go. It's doing much better than my 18h at home.

Jaded, That's gotta be one of the better benifits to working at a retail pet store. What they don't pay you. You can make up for in savings.
