Greetings from across the pond
#1
Hello all,

Just thought I should say hello. I've lurked here for a couple of years, and am starting to feel bad about it. I'm based in Aberdeen, UK. Currently I'm frog-free, as have sadly just lost my tinc 'Oranje Gebergte' pair. I'm a HUGE plant fanatic, and in the process of re-planting 3 vivs with a view to restocking with PDFs. Thanks for this great site - have lately been immersed in the frog room photo section, which is hugely impressive and inspirational! I struggle to deal with the jealousy vs inspiration, but I guess I'll find a way to cope! Keep up the good work folks!

Cheers,

Martin

Greetings and a big Hullo Martin !

No time like the present to de-lurk. There's quite a few Brits over here, so you should feel right at home.

As far as plants go...we have a few people going for 'perfect biotope' vivarium designs. A lot of 'plant' folks here in the U.S

We look forward to some pics - vivs and plants

Best,

~Phil

Hi Phil, thanks for the welcome, and thanks for the link to that thread - I'd missed it completely (though in my defence I got distracted by pics of vivs, plants, frogs, then my mind wandered, and I couldn't remember why I was here!). It's nice to see some familiar folks here. And on that subject, hello Stu, how are you?

I currently have three vivs, one of which (3 x 3 x 2 foot) is in desparate need of replanting. But I shall hopefully be ready to re-stock in the next couple of months. I'll try to get some pics up forthwith...

Well. I've finally got round to replanting vivs - 3' x 3' x 2' & 48" x 18" X 15" ex-fishtanks, and an 18" x 18" x 24" exoterra viv. Hopefully, they'll be ready for frogs in the next month or so. I'll try to get some photos up shortly. Any thoughts on the best inhabitants? I'm keen on azureus and leucomelas, and something smaller for the exoterra, maybe imitator 'Jeberos'. I'd appreciate thoughts on how to best use the 3x3x2 foot viv - it'd be great to see it all in use!
