I had a hard time arriving at a threshold for 'Senior Member status' and wondering why the forum software wouldn't take 'time on forum' as a parameter, but hey....500 posts ain't too shabby, right ?
Enjoy..all you 'Seniors" out there 8)

This is something I never understood. I would think that if you got 400 posts. your title should be something like "Senior poster"
On one of the reef boards I frequent there is a guy that comments on everything. His posts are well over 10,000. They are all about the same quality as the warm blast of air that just passed between my butt cheeks. Now my problem is that this guy is beyond stupid. He is posting pictures of his lighting system (hanging above open saltwater) that looks like a 3 year old put it together. He is literally using soup cans as his reflectors and there are open wires everywhere and this "fixture" is maybe 3-4 inches above the water.
Next to his name, because he has 10k posts, it says something to the effect of senior dick monkey grandmaster fucking reefer. Did I mention this guy posts nothing of any importance or quality? Yet next to his name he has the title of a senior.
My suggestion is why not make title based on thanks?
You can't just post a bunch of nonsense and get some title. You have to earn your title. People have to acknowledge the fact that you have put effort and thought into your posts and your posts are for the bettering of the forum and the hobby.
Just some thoughts

yes...when I do it, it most assuredly will young Bryon..lol
You're trying the ole' DB 'I gotta post to be able to be in the Vendor section' or whatever permissions they have for that....
Put the time in, genuinely...and before you know it...you'll be the Rich Frye of Darts.
or, at least the Rusty Shackleford. Either one. Heh

Reminds me , and I'm sure others, of the crazy electric water heating heads on the showers in many of the 'bathrooms' south of the border.
A friend of mine who owns a 'resort' explained when I first started staying there;
" That's the shower . DO NOT, DO NOT , EVER, NEVER TOUCH THE WIRES ABOVE THE SHOWER. NEVER EVER!"
I guess wire nuts are not water proof.
Red no-nos, green wowies , thanks, likes, titles all ad up to nothing. Period. I'm quite sure there are plenty of froggers who'd red no-no the holy crap out of me if it were possible. And I give exactly two craps about it.
Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.
If tone is more important to you than content, you are at the wrong place.

I agree with Glenn, that was absolutely hilarious.
Byron I just wanted to mention a good way to up your post count is to start a breeding thread and post every time you get a new egg clutch or tads hatch from the eggs, or tads morph into froglets etc. Bumps that post count up really quick.

I felt like a d-bag back in June because I had to put up a bunch of "nice tank" type posts on DB just so I could leave some vendor feedback. That was my only gripe. No one is going to want a new guy to post 25 different things because I'm sure 24 of them could be found with the search button. I'm trying to make myself be a little more active and less of a lurker so my goal is to make 1 post a day if I can find anything worth contributing. Otherwise the Thunderdome is always an option lol

I honestly am not concerned with my post count in anyway shape or form. I just wanted to make sure. That someone doesn't get on here and just donkey post their way to "senior".
You guys think that was hilarious?
Shit way till I have a few beers....
( I might just think I am funnier after a few beers )

LOL Phil,
I don't know about you guys but I RARELY look at post counts or join dates. I do look at the username or avatar. It's the content of the post that matters. That said, I don't mind posting nice tank, nice pic or just conversation. Anything to help the newbs along too, when I have time.
