(sorry Phil. I wasn't sure where to put this)
Most of you know Bill Schwinn or at least have heard of him and his frogs. He's one of the old guy breeders. You might have noticed that he hasn't been around as much lately, so, I wanted to give folks an update on him.
Bill has been pretty sick the past year or so. He's been in and out of the hospital and has been strapped to an oxygen tank since January. He's had to cut back on his breeding due to not being able to care for his animals like he should, and, he has someone coming to pick up his snakes because he can't care for them anymore.
I just spoke with him and learned that his phone and internet have been disconnected (he got one of those disposables for emergencies). His power will be disconnected next week. He's in a really bad situation. Not only do his animals count on him being able to provide AC, but, Bill needs power to run his oxygen tank. He has spoken to the power company about keeping his power on due to his medical need but that leniency has run out.
Anyway, keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Please PM me if you want to know how you can help him.
Thanks
Kris

Can we put together some kind of fund that would go towards his financial/ medical situation? Maybe an account that anyone who wanted to help could make a deposit to?

I can give out his paypal address to anyone that can help with a little cash. His priority is keeping his power on for his animals and himself. Honestly, though, he also needs help with his mortgage, getting his phone and internet back on, and, food.
Medical, he is ok because he is now receiving Medicaid. They don't give that away to just anyone.
I'll be managing his paypal since he doesn't have internet access. I'll also give his temporary cell number so folks can ask him about it or talk with him.

eta: I'll have to check with him about giving out his home address. My first instinct is to say no but it really isn't my call.

No one has scooped up these imitators yet. Just an fyi, the price for them is whatever you want to donate to bills aide. No minimum price, they are basically up for auction. Someone out there has to want some beautiful frogs and at the same time help out a long time fellow frogger in the time of need. No?

I have one concern; people who don't post on both sites won't know if the bid has gone up on the items. Could cause problems with 2 people thinking they won the bid. Maybe individual auction items should be on one site or the other.
