Let me see YOUR trophy tank!

Hey guys, show me that "show piece". The one you spent all those hours on and is the must see pinnacle of your collection that everyone has to see when they come over to your place (even when they don't care or want to see it). AKA your favorite viv!

Jay....I'm gonna guess everyone is going to be scared to post 'their best' , so don't be surprised if we don't see much here (I'm trying to counter-act / reverse mojo that statement....)

Bravo Bravo! two very inspirational vivs. I saw Casper's in person and it has me wanting to rebuild a copy cat. What is hard to see is the broms being attached to a homemade "tree stump" w plants growing on top. Sweetness in a glass box Smile

Wow those are great! I only have 2 so far but when I get home from school today I'll put some pictures up. This thread is for motivation, not fear. Don't worry about negative critism anyone, no one should ever be afraid to show off something they are proud of...in or out of the frog community.

Alright, I'll hop on board. These aren't finished, nor are they spectacular, but I like the symmetry in the trio. I think this is actually the first time I've ever posted a FTS. Smile

This is what I'm talking about!!! These are all amazing! You all make some extremely nice environments for your PDFs. This thread will be great for some new guys poking around on here to get some good ideas to get themselves started (or even indirectly share ideas maybe other members wouldn't have thought of otherwise). Here's mine. It's my 1st tank I made and probably would've looked like crap if it wasn't for Eric to guide me along and donate his time and some clippings. I found the tank, 55 gallon, on the side of the road a few days after I mentioned the idea of wanting to get into PDFs (must be fate right lol). I also got some various brom pups for cheap from when the local zoo was thinning out their collection. It doesn't always look this clear, I wiped the moisture off of the front of the glass quick just now to get better pics of the inside. It's been growing in like crazy since June.

This is getting really addicting and I think viv design is my fav. part by far. I'm stuck in the mentality I gotta design each tank better than the last now Tongue This last pic is my current project (40 gal breeder) that I want to put some glass frogs in. It's just a brom holder for now while I'm putting it all together and they won't be in there when it's complete. But they just look so damn nice in there so project after this (probably next summer after we move) is 2 more 40 gals, 1 vert stacked with broms and 1 horizontal based around ferns.

Thanks for the inspiration/motivation guys!

I figured it would be a fun one. After all, we are all in the hobby for the same reason so let's enjoy the beauty of our creations. I wouldn't think anyone would get nasty except to troll...psssh. I wouldn't care if anyone ever dogged my tanks. They're kind of like tattoos. Who really cares what anyone else thinks about them anyways, as long as you like the result is all that matters.

Casper,
That's really cool how the brom roots are growing. I like how that looks and have a couple mounted that will do that. How long have yours been growing in?
