escudo imports 2012
#21
Unfortunately these things happen. Price drops happen for 1 reason or another. Sometimes it's market demand, sometimes it's a saturated market, sometimes they fall from peoples interest and sometime people try to flood the market trying to drop the price(s)for spite...

pa.walt Wrote:i know you will get pissed with this reply but that is life. the way i read it in the first couple of posts sounds like you where bothered because you can't sell them for what they use to go for. what about those people that bought Benedicta at the price they were and now they are cheaper. what does everyone usually post I WILL GET SOME WHEN THEY ARE CHEAPER and these people are not beginners like was said in some of the other replies. sorry Sidney but that is life.
i myself is one of those people who are waiting for prices to be cheaper on some frogs.
See thats not my point...look at my last post....I recently sold escudo pairs $150 more than what sndf now has them for...and easily could have asked for 550... But it feels wrong to have my friends go back and see/ feel like they overpaid all because of urges on sndf to sell theirs fast....or who knows....its not right. Not on this frog. Tell me that rich would be happy if this guy brought in grannies and start offering them up $3-400/pair.? Thatd just be shitting on all his years of hard work and dedication the establishment of these animals... But alas...cristalized said it right...Im happy to know that these guys bought some happy healthy producing frogs from me and not just a stressed out recently picked animal

Well Sidney,

Think about where SNDF is getting their frogs lately ? Could it be that the IMPORTER has something to do with the lower prices ?

Investigate from the Importer on down to see how things have changed...

Also sidney... If a responsible hobbiest bought those escudos for $350, you have to factor in the time for QT, medications, and multiple fecal tests. IMO i would rather spend the extra $ on healthy frogs

I believe the frogs for 350 are already treated and Qt'd.

Sounds like a good and decent price to me! I'd rather pay $350 then $500 a pair. Smile

And what happened to most ALL of those cheap frogs?
Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.

I wish every frog was $5/frog...no matter which one. Then smugglers wouldn't have a job, and I could afford the half a dozen or so species still on my wish list that I want. A guy can dream right...

 hahahahahahahahahahahahaha  rolls on ground in fit.

Jr. can't spell the word quarantine, let alone grasp the concept. Marcus MAY keep some long enough to make sure they are not dropping dead out of the box, MAY...

What happened to all the Azureus? Hmm....all those cheap D. auratus? What about the Almirante that no one is breeding....

Reasonable prices are good. Smile

Notice that those that are complaining have a financial stake in it. It you want high prices on frogs, control the market. If you can't monopolize the species, expect competition.

Where are all the F2 pums from a year or two ago?

Right, Marcus does not properly quarantine his pums for sale. period. Only slightly less laughing than at the thought of Jr. properly quarantining.
I PMed you recently about only one small part of proper quarantine. Marcus does not fecal all his frogs, not even one full round.

Easy frogs are easy to keep and breed. Tough frogs are expensive and tough to breed and keep.
It's part of the supply and demand equation. A simple concept.
